One of the first things the kids and I did after we got to New York was to make a trip to Howe Caverns, which Trent called "the underground bat hole." Here are the first set of pictures of us waiting around for the tour to start. This was only a week after Hurricane Irene, and Schoharie County was hit hard by the flooding. Apparently the caverns had to be closed the week before because of all water.
I also took a picture of the uber-creepy animatronic Lester Howe that kick starts the tour.
