Went to a restaurant at the beginning of the month that didn't do crayons for the kids. Instead they have a strip of blackboard paint on the walls around the room and each table has a bucket with sidewalk chalk. It's one of the first times the kids were completely occupied right up until the food was brought out to us. Made me realize that restaurants need to start getting creative with their kid activities, because the paper and crayons bit hasn't really worked for my kids for quite some time now.
