That Neighbor

Our neighbor's cat is that neighbor that you see coming and need to get away from before he/she starts talking to you. Or else you'll never get away.

Fun at BWI

After dropping off my Mom and Sister at BWI, I decided to finally find the observation deck at the airport. I had heard of it from other people, but had never found it. Despite having been to BWI many many times. When we got there, the kids had so much fun and we watched their Grandma's plane take off.

The Dump

Every time I go to the dump, I feel like I should be bringing an unbearably burdensome ring with me to throw into a mountain of fire.

Giga Pudding!

Ok, it says "King Pudding" but this was the closest that my sister could get. It was a total surprise when I got it in the mail, I thought it was from someone else! It came all the way from Japan and the company sent a little card that has the Tokyo Metro map printed on it. Cute!

I actually got the pudding a little while ago, but I wanted to make sure that I had some more people to eat it with. I waited until my Mom and youngest sister got here before we made it.

Hunter loved it, Trent was not so keen on it. I'm still not sure what I think of Giga Pudding, but Hunter couldn't get enough of it. I still have a lot of it sitting in the fridge waiting for the kids belly.

Making Mummies

Back in May, Trent got very interested in ancient Egypt when I watched a show on the subject. I went to the library and got a bunch of books on the subject and tried brainstorming a fun project. This is what I came up with!

This is the second time we have made them and I got a little more creative this time by incorporating all aspects of the dinner. We used pillsbury thin crust pizza dough and cut it into slices to wrap around the hot dogs. Then I baked them in a 325 oven until the dough started to look the slightest bit golden and turned the temp up to 400. We also made brussel sprouts that were the "mummy brains," mac 'n cheese were the "mummy guts," and ketchup was the "mummy blood."

Cardinal

Ok, so it's not the best picture, but the cardinals are coming to my bird feeder! Yay! Need to go out and get some more bird food now.
