New PJ's

The kids got new PJ's about a week before Christmas from their Aunt Britten. They LOVE having matching clothes.

A First Cheeseburger

This is Trent's first cheeseburger. That he actually ate. And liked. I was shocked, he ate all of it but two bites. This was a Five Guys burger, too. Just to put it in perspective. I'm so happy the kid is finally starting to eat some meat.

Tree Hugger

Took the kids to Huntley Meadows Park a few days ago. We did a class about evergreens there and afterwards went for a walk. For a little while, Hunter was stopping and hugging every single tree along the side of the path we were walking on. while it was very cute, it was time consuming. I decided to use that time to practice some tai chi.

Decorate that Tree!

Decorating the Christmas tree on Saturday night. Hunter got to put the star on the top this year.

At the Barber Shop

Saturday we took the kids to the barber's for hair cuts. This is Hunter's second hair cut and first trip to a barber shop. He sat very still and was very good. Trent, on the other hand, couldn't stop squirming and the poor woman was doing her best, but.... Well.... Garrick made "Dumb and Dumber" references because of how the kids hair looks.

Baking Day

I spent all day yesterday roasting and pureeing the pumpkins from October and November. Most of the puree got measured, bagged and frozen. I did leave out about six cups to do some baking, though.  Pictured here are two loaves of pumpkin bread, oatmeal pumpkin cookies, pumpkin cookies, pumpkin muffins in mini size and fun bug and teddy bear shapes, and some pumpkin dip. For the amount of time I spent baking this afternoon, I feel as though I should have a lot more to show for my work.

Color of the Week Painting

Photo

The boys are coloring with blue paint. They've been getting tired of
crayons and markers.
