Thatcher Park

Back in September my sister Caitlin and I took the kids and our dogs to Thatcher Park. We wanted to take the kids onto the Indian Ladder Trails, but two hurricanes had blown through the area and I deemed it too dangerous to do with two little boys while watching two doggers. Still, it was fun doing the hike along the top of the cliff and back again. There was also a birding class going on there that day. There were a bunch of people from the local bird rescue there to talk about raptors and migrating birds and they were set up all along the trail. If we had known, we probably wouldn't have brought the dogs since we had to avoid all the booths because of the birds.

We found fossils, Indian paintbrush flowers, mushrooms and don't forget the beautiful views. It was a really beautiful day to be there!
